A truth that was mystically realized

by sages from all the world's great wisdom traditions is this:

One. Not two.

"We are born in mystery,

we live in mystery,

and we die in mystery."

Huston Smith

Spirituality and the Meaning of

Mysticism for Our Time

Jean Houston

What is real spirituality but the art of union with Reality? Mysticism is a particularly focused part of spirituality; the mystic is a person who aims at and believes in the attainment of such union. In its classical spiritual form it is a heroic journey, and valiant efforts are required to follow the path.

Why Mysticism Matters

Wikipedia defines "mysticism" as "the knowledge of, and especially the personal experience of, states of consciousness, or levels of being, or aspects of reality, beyond normal human perception, including experience of and even communion with a supreme being."

The transformative power  of mystical experiences is that they can convey to us, in a way that our rational faculties can never grasp, that no matter what happens to our bodies and personalities in the world of time and space, mysteriously, at some other level, in another dimension of our own being, beyond the mind, everything is always OK.

"A totally unmystical world would be

a world totally blind and insane."

Aldous Huxley

The great avatars and mystics of humanity have told us is true: We are one; we are whole; we are good; and we are being born as a Universal Humanity within a universe of immeasurable intelligence, energy, and dimension.

To fully awaken, we need a shared peak experience or a mass spiritual experience of expanded reality. Mystics and visionaries have had such experience all through human history, but it has never been a communal experience. Widespread spiritual experiences of our wholeness, oneness, and goodness could become a collective awakening during our Planetary Birth process and celebration.  From "Birth 2012 and Beyond" by Barbara Marx Hubbard
